Where to Find Portrayals of Integrity
Posted here are the names of movies, books, speeches, songs, and more which:
1) portray people who are acting with integrity,
2) explore what integrity is, or
3) embody integrity perhaps without mentioning it specifically.
Integrity in this context refers to our capacities for respect, thoughtfulness, honesty and justice -- in other words, our highest human potential.
The books, songs and DVDs listed here may, and likely will, contain situations which are distinctly unethical or non-integrous. Typically, it would otherwise be hard to generate a narrative that speaks to people's actual dilemmas in life. But the way the people deal with the situation, perhaps especially as they repair their own lapses, is what is meant here by "portrayals of integrity."
There are other websites which address integrity as a religious issue. That is not the focus here, although media depicting religion could be included here if they are well-written and do not proselytize.
Your input is highly valued.
The scant listings under some categories (see page tabs to the far left) reflect that this web site is "under construction."

Ideas can be from fiction or nonfiction, biography, memoir, documentary, songs, plays, speeches, magazine or newspaper articles... whatever strikes you as portraying integrity, or which discusses its nuances and its role in human community and human development.
"Quotes" (in the navigation bar to the bottom left) is a collection of quotations which address aspects of integrity and how to live it. Please write in with any that you feel are relevant. There is no need to agree with the quote; the goal is to stimulate thinking and conversation.
Ideally, portrayals of integrity examine the range of choices we have in various life situations without telling us how to live.
